Re: Managing Cross-Forum Member Migration

What ever forum members are doing in another community isn't your business as far as I'm concerned. Focus on what they bring to your own community when they are online. Engage them in so many discussion and boost your own forum activities.

Re: How Do You Create Enough Starter Content Without Making It Look Artificial?

There's a reason why we have those who offer paid posting services. If you can afford to pay for a few of their services, it's going to help balance out the posts in the community before full launch for everyone to start using it.

Re: Is Member Mentorship an Effective Growth Strategy?

The question is how you're going to pair new members with older ones in a community? I haven't seen where it's done in all my years of using forums. It's not even done on social media sites or Reddit. How do you intend doing it on forums?

Re: Should New Forums Allow External Links Right Away or Restrict Them?

It's going to be a very serious mistake for a new forum to allow external links especially from new members. It's only going to encourage spamming in the community.

Re: Can Niche Forums Outperform Reddit in Engagement?

No, it's not possible especially if the sub reddit is very popular and an active discussion board. There's nothing a forum niche can do to beat the engagement and traffic that sub reddit generates.

Re: Can Hybrid Platforms Beat Pure Discussion Forums?

One thing I've learnt about forum members behavior is that as a forum owner, you can't force them to use a feature in the forum which they are not interested in from the beginning when they joined. Forum members use it because of what attracted them from day one. Any other added features is a bonus.

Re: Competing in Saturated Forum Niches

It's possible for you can compete in any saturated niche because if I'm being very honest, most niches are already saturated. If anyone argues it, I would like to know any niche without more than 100 different outfits being in it?

Simply make your own brand in the niche unique in its own way. It's ...

Re: Can Small Forums Compete with Big Communities Like Reddit?

It's not possible for small forums to compete with with bigger boards like Reddit. I don't even get why any small forum owner would be thinking about being in competition with Reddit or any social media sites? It's a lost fight before it even started.

Re: How Can I Promote a Forum Without Spamming

Make use of your forum signature on different communities you're using to promote your own forum. It's free, you don't have to pay anyone for it. It's not in any way considered to be spam.

Re: Should Forum Rules Be Community-Created?

Collaborative rule-making increases ownership but risks loopholes and conflicts. Should moderators guide, approve, or fully delegate rules? What works best?

Who would the moderators delegate the rules and regulations you're talking about if I may ask?

The forum rules and regulations are made ...
