I never let it become so much that it gets overwhelming for me. On a daily basis I check the notifications and erase them they get too much to handle.

Writing the rules from scratch? I don’t think that should ever be necessary. Unless there is a change of ownership or the niche of the forum has changed.

Admins themselves have to stay active on the forum, if not how will they keep the members engaged? If the owners are not active then they cannot ask for the members to be.

The admin does not have to do everything by themselves, they can use the services of someone that can work as a moderator and forum manager. This will ease the workload of an admin.

I prefer light mode when I am on forums, actually and when I am on most sites. I don’t like dark mode of anything when I am on my PC.

You cannot choose for the users, that is why you should make it a choice for the users so that they can choose anyone that they prefer out of the two.

Backlinks on other websites are an effective way to do this. You can post your forums on those websites so that the members can also check your sites.

If I understand what these templates are, they are supposed to help members be more active? I beg to differ, this will make the members feel restricted and they will not be able to express themselves well.

Before the beginning of every month you can make a plan that will last you till the end of the month. You have to be consistent about it though or else it will not work out.
