Is Member Mentorship an Effective Growth Strategy?

Post by Serene »

Pairing new users with experienced members can accelerate engagement, but could create cliques. Does mentorship strengthen community culture or unintentionally isolate some members? How can admins implement mentorship inclusively?

Mentorship encourages engagement by connecting experienced members with newcomers. You can pair guides with learners to answer questions, share tips, and foster community bonds. This strengthens retention, builds loyalty, and helps new users participate confidently, turning mentorship into a practical growth strategy.

The question is how you're going to pair new members with older ones in a community? I haven't seen where it's done in all my years of using forums. It's not even done on social media sites or Reddit. How do you intend doing it on forums?
