Some communities encourage fresh threads to keep things lively. Others merge similar topics for clarity. How do you balance originality with avoiding clutter? What kind of guidelines do you have in place so that members don’t feel confused or restricted.

I think new threads should be created when a topic hasn’t been discussed before or needs a fresh perspective. Recycling existing threads works for minor updates, but encouraging original discussions keeps the forum active, prevents clutter, and invites members to share unique ideas.
