This has saved me many times. Sometimes I forget my cPanel details or when your host changes something, the cPanel is affected in one way or the other. Normally, I just go through the hosting dashboard and click “reset password.” Most hosts allow that.

But if you lost the main hosting login itself, that's another issue. If it happens to you, how do you go about it?

You can reset an admin password in cPanel by accessing phpMyAdmin. Opening your forum’s database, find the users table, and updating the password field with a new hashed value. It’s quick, but you need to know the correct hash format your forum software uses.
