This one is interesting because both platforms has their own strengths. MyBB is very easy to customize and the theme options are nice too. phpBB on the other hand is very stable, secure and has many extensions to choose from.
For me, MyBB feels more simple to manage. PhpBB is ok too but sometimes the settings can be very complicated.
Which one do you guys prefer?

I would always go with phpBB. It offers more flexibility, a strong community, and reliable updates. While MyBB is user-friendly, phpBB’s robust features and stability make it my preferred choice for building and managing a forum effectively.

I prefer phpBB, but my only real beef with MyBB is the myAlerts mod doesn't work. The myAlerts mod is essential to a forum, so I don't know how I'd be able to have a professional operation without it.
