What is Your Policy for Moderators Who Get Personally Involved in Conflicts?
Mods are human. Sometimes they clash with members. How do you handle it when a moderator is part of the issue? Do you step in, ask them to recuse themselves, or follow a formal process?
Re: What is Your Policy for Moderators Who Get Personally Involved in Conflicts?
I think moderators should stay neutral and avoid personal involvement. I notice stepping back and letting rules guide decisions prevents bias and maintains trust. If a moderator becomes emotionally involved, I’d suggest reassigning their responsibilities for that thread and reminding them to focus on fairness over personal opinion.
